Fertility Treatments and Procedures

The team at Caperton Fertility Institute has specialized training and expertise in all aspects of fertility care, including IVF, artificial insemination, fertility surgery and other fertility treatments. Whether you are just beginning treatment or are pursuing more advanced technologies, we can custom-tailor treatment to your individual needs, circumstances and diagnosis to give you the best chance of success.

We offer a full range of diagnostic, therapeutic and medical fertility treatments with the ultimate goal of helping you have a baby in the most efficient and effective manner and time frame. Our diagnostic services include the most advanced testing and evaluation methods to help pinpoint the underlying cause(s) of infertility. We offer a full range of diagnostic tests and procedures for female and male infertility, under the supervision of the region’s only board-certified reproductive endocrinologist.

In your initial consultation with Dr. Lee Caperton and Dr. Kelly Caperton, we will thoroughly review your medical, reproductive and treatment history and make individualized recommendations based on your unique diagnosis and on our experience treating thousands of other patients. We always solicit your thoughts, questions, and feedback on our recommendations to assure that we are approaching treatment in a manner in which you are comfortable and confident.

The next step generally follows one of three paths:

  1. For patients that have not had basic diagnostic procedures done in the past – or have not had them done in the prior 6 months – we will make recommendations as to which diagnostic tests should be scheduled, and we will assist you in scheduling them. Most tests can be performed in our offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico or El Paso, Texas.
  2. Patients that have undergone basic diagnostic tests may have additional testing recommended.
  3. Patients that have undergone all necessary testing and whose medical records have been reviewed by Dr. Caperton can move directly to treatment.

Treatment at Caperton Fertility Institute can take a number of forms. In many cases, there will be a physiological issue that needs to be addressed before proceeding with other forms of treatment. An example might be a polyp in the uterus that needs to be removed prior to attempting in vitro fertilization (IFV). We offer a full range of reproductive surgery options.

In the absence of conditions requiring preparatory surgical procedures, our services range from ovulation induction with timed intercourse, to intrauterine insemination with oral or injectable medications, to IVF. In addition, we are experienced at matching and coordinating donor egg IVF as well as gestational surrogacy.

Many IVF clinics claim to provide individualized care, but more often than not, patients are shuffled into their system that is designed to move the maximum number of patients through treatment. At Caperton Fertility Institute, every patient meets with Drs. Lee and Kelly Caperton or one of the individual providers, who reviews their medical records and history, past fertility treatment information, budget and timeline. Using this information, we then provide recommendations for any additional testing that may be necessary or helpful. With all of the necessary information in place and with your input, we will collaborate to recommend the appropriate fertility treatment. Our clinical, administrative and support staff will be with you every step of the way through your recommended treatment protocol. Call the office nearest you or contact us to schedule an appointment.
